Lesson 4: Listen to what today is all about!

Objectives: -Students will practice saying their lines in their script.
- Students will practice playing their rhythms on their classroom objects
- Students will put their Rhythm Scenes together.

1. Students will practice and memorize their lines from the script they wrote last class. They will work on speaking slowly and projecting their voices. After students have become confident with their lines, they will use Vocaroo to record themselves so they can hear what they sound like. Below is the link to Vocaroo.

Record Your Lines

2.Students will practice performing their rhythms with their classroom objects. Make sure to listen to each other rand make sure you are all keeping the same steady beat! We do not want each rhythm being a different speed. Use the metronome link below to keep your group at the same pace with the different rhythms.

3. Take the rest of class to put your scenes together and to practice, practice, practice! Below you will find a ThingLink picture that will remind you of some things that will be graded in your Rhythm Scene. Underneath that you will also find a chart showing the breakdown of the grading system for the Rhythm Scenes. You should take a few minutes to review these two guides to make sure that your groups scene is on track to do well and do the best that you can!
